Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Honourable Doodei Agbabou Week has transformed  Bayelsa State into an Agriculture/Aquaculture hub through the establishment of a large-scale Aquaculture village by applying modern technology to produce fish for domestic and export purposes.
This project has the capacity to provide fish for the entire South-South, Nigeria and even export to other countries of the world.
Here in this wonderful farm, feeds are produced for use and for sale to other fish farmers, according to the Honorable Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Honourable  Doode Week.
There is a big hatchery in the complex where Paultry products are produced.
The Commissioner further revealed that soon, a farm estate will be built to accommodate staff that will work in the farm.
The establishment of this epoch-making project has the following potential -
1.   5000 tons of fish will be produced annually
2. 3000 tons of fish to be exported annually
3. 1000 direct and indirect jobs for Bayelsan youths.
4. Mechanized fish dryers, with drying capacity of 500 daily.
The ponds have been allocated to private Establishements to run, and already over 100 persons have gained employment in the scheme and production of various kinds of fishes is in progress.
Surely the establishment of this farm has no doubt enhanced the internally generated income base (IGI) of the State.
During the Commissioning of the project by the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, great sales were made from the farm.
By this, the restoration administration has yet added one more avenue of income-generating economic assets to the State government.
This is indeed a giant stride meant to push the development of the State forward by the Governor Dickson.
Honourable Doodei Weeek is indeed a visionary leader and one, people could trust to contribute to the development and greatness of Bayelsa State. No doubt, Governor Henry Seriake Dickson did not make mistake in drafting him from the NDDC as a deputy Director to man the very important Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
The digital/capacity Commissioner is a shining example to people of goodwill in the state and business men and women interested in investing in the Agricultural/Entrepreneurial sector of the State’s economy.
Governor Dickson is a great and visionary leader for fishing out the best of the bests to support him build a great and prosperous Bayelsa State.

God bless Bayelsa State!
God bless the Governor Henry Seriake Dickson!
God bless Honuurable  Doodei Week!
